Glo Offers Full Day Of Free Data To Customers

Subscribers of the fully integrated telecommunications company, Globacom, will henceforth be able to enjoy a day of free data once in a seven-day period as the company unveils an innovative offer that is aimed at delighting its subscribers.
The offering, tagged Free Data Day, allows subscribers to access internet free of charge for a whole day once they meet the voice and/or data usage threshold within seven days.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, Globacom’s Zonal Business Coordinator, Lagos, Adebola Omoboya said the offering would enable subscribers on the Glo network to enjoy the freedom of browsing with free 200MB which can be used throughout a whole day.
“We appreciate the essence of the internet in today’s world. We are through this product empowering our customers in an unprecedented way in their business, social and educational pursuits,” he said.
In order to access the Free Data Day, subscribers are required to spend N250 or more on calls in the seven days preceding the award of the free data or spend at least N150 on calls and use a minimum of 100MB of data in the seven days preceding the award of free data day from any or a combination of methods such as Pay as you use, purchase of data plan and usage from an existing data plan.
According to Omoboya, customers would be notified when they have qualified for the Free Data Day and that they do not need to dial any code to opt in or subscribe to any platform before enjoying the benefits.
“When a customer qualifies for the offering, he would be able to enjoy free data usage throughout that day, and the fair usage policy will be applicable,” he disclosed.
Globacom also seized the occasion of the press conference to announce a mouth-watering offer for people who have not used their Glo SIM cards for 30 days. The company announced the Glo Welcome Back, which gives N6000 to such customers when they recharge their lines.
The credit can be used to browse, send SMS and make calls to Glo customers. Subscribers are required to make a recharge of between N100 and N5,000 to access the free N6,000 airtime.
Glo subscribers can access the free airtime based on the amount of recharge made subject to a maximum of N6,000.

It's no more news that there has been a great improvement in the dollar/foreign exchange liquidity in the banking system and this has positively affected the economy in general.  
Now most banks are now lifting the restriction and limitation on their naira debit card to ease the stress customers go through in sorting for foreign currencies and also to encourage investors.
According to a statement by Fidelity Bank Chief Executive Officer, Nnamdi Okonkwo, he said.

“We are pleased to remove the restrictions on International transactions on Fidelity Visa Naira Credit and Debit Cards. It was important for us to take advantage of the slight ease in sourcing foreign exchange to do this in order meet with the yearnings of our teeming customers,”

Specifically, the bank in a message to customers said international transactions on Fidelity Visa Naira Credit and Debit Cards will be subject to the following limits: “Visa Naira Debit Cards (POS/Web only) equivalent of $1000 only; Visa Naira Credit Cards (ATM/POS/Web) equivalent of $1,000 only.”

WAEC RELEASES 2017 MAY/JUNE RESULTS AND HOW TO CHECK

The West African Examinatifon council (WAEC) have released results for the 2017 May/June Senior School Certificate Examination. This was made known to the public via the official twitter page of the exam body on Monday 17th July 2017.
According to the report, 1,567,016 candidates registered for the examination, out of which 1,559,162 candidates candidates wrote the examination. Of those that wrote the exam, 923,486 candidates, representing 59.22%, obtained a minimum of credits in 5 subjects including English Language and Mathematics. This performance is better than for 2015 and 2016 where it was 38.68% and 52.97% respectively.
The Punch reports that Mr Olu Adenipekun who is the head of the WAEC national office said some results were being withheld due to error but promised that the problems will be rectified.
He said: "Out of the total number of candidates that sat for the examination, 1,471,151 candidates, representing 94.36%, have their results fully processed and released, while 95,734 candidates, representing 5.64%, have a few of their subjects still being processed due to errors traceable to the candidates in the course of registration or writing the examination. "Such errors are being corrected by the council to enable the affected candidates get their results fully processsed and released

With the latest info gathered, the new name of Etisalat Nigeria is "9Mobile". At an executive meeting held in Lagos two hours ago, the name 9Mobile was adopted and all staff across the country are being notified of the change of name. 
 
Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services Ltd. (EMTS) trading as Etisalat Nigeria on Tuesday informed its customers that a proposed change of brand name will not affect its operations. 
 
The telecoms company is yet to unveil the new brand to the public. 
 
Etisalat Nigeria has 20 million subscribers, making it the country’s number four mobile operator with a 14 percent market share. Our mandate is to make sure the business runs as profitably as it can. What is most important now is to … ensure that the business runs and meets its obligations,” the company’s new chief executive Boye Olusanya said on Tuesday. 
 
He said the telecom company is focused on getting the group back on track.

Is MTN Now Charging Less Than N25 For Their Night Plan
